Missouri Botanical Garden Wreath Display Opens Saturday

Wreaths that will be auctioned at the end of December go on display at the Missouri Botanical Garden’s on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.

The collection includes unique creations by some of the area’s finest floral designers. It can be seen in the upper level of the Ridgway Visitor Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden, 4344 Shaw Blvd., St. Louis.

The 13 wreathes will be on display through Wednesday, Dec. 28. The Garden is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. It will close at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The Garden is closed on Christmas Day.

Admission to the display is included with Garden admission.  The Holiday Wreath Auction is included with Missouri Botanical Garden admission of $8 for adults; free for children ages 12 and under. St. Louis city and county residents get a discounted admission of $4 and free admission on most Wednesday and Saturday mornings until noon. Admission is free for Missouri Botanical Garden members.

Free parking is available on site and two blocks west at the corner of Shaw and Vandeventer.

A silent auction will be held at the end of the exhibition with proceeds benefiting the Garden.

This year’s wreath designers include Blooming Buckets of Webster Groves; Botanicals Design Studio of south St. Louis; Bowood Farms of the Central West End; Carriage House Florals and Diane Breckenridge Interiors of Frontenac; Dierbergs Florist and Gifts; Fleurish of Ladue; Focus on Design Schnuck Markets; Ladue Florist of Ladue; Mary Tuttle’s Florals and Gifts of Chesterfield; the St. Louis Herb Society; Twigs and Moss of Richmond Heights; Todd Ware of Clayton; and Wildflowers of south St. Louis.
