The Guitars on Fire band will perform at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, on the Lake Stage at Union Station, Market and 18th Street in downtown St. Louis.

The band Guitars On Fire plays the music of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the rock band that established southern rock.

Free: Petty Cash Junction To Perform On Thursday, Aug. 16, At Union Station

The Petty Cash Junction band will perform at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, on the Lake Stage at Union Station, Market and 18th Street in downtown St. Louis.

The band plays the music of Tom Petty and Johnny Cash.

The concert is one of Union Station’s summer series which concludes with Guitars on Fire on Sept. 20.

Retro Nerds

The Retro Nerds band will perform at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, on the Lake Stage at Union Station, Market and 18th Street in downtown St. Louis.

The band plays 1980s hits.

The concert is one of Union Station’s summer series. Other concerts are Petty Cash Junction on Aug. 16 and Guitars on Fire on Sept. 20.

Amtrak's Special Exhibit Train Chugging Into St. Louis Saturday, Sunday

All aboard!

Amtrak’s special exhibit train commemorating Amtrak’s 40th anniversary will be in St. Louis this weekend

The train which is touring the country, has displays of photos, uniforms, china, and memorabilia from America’s Railroad℠ while also offering a glimpse into the future.

The train can be seen from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 2011 at 551 South 16th Street, St. Louis.

Preschoolers can learn about trains at Chuggington Station, a train-based animated TV Series featuring games, videos and fun activities.

The featured movie at Friday’s Twilight At The Train Shed, Union Station‘s free movie series, is the 1982 film ET: The Extraterrestrial.”

The movie starts at 8:15 p.m. Union Station is at the 1820 Market St. in downtown St. Louis.

In case of rain the movie will be shown inside the Station.
