Star Trek First Friday: Reduced Admission, Meet Robert Picardo, 'The Doctor'

Meet Robert Picardo, “the Doctor” from Star Trek: Voyager at the Saint Louis Science Center tonight and tomorrow during the Star Trek First Friday event at the St. Louis Science Center in Forest Park.

At 8 p.m. tonight Picardo talks about his life as a Star Trek actor with autograph signing at 8:45 p.m.  Fee for autographs on fans’ items or a photo Picardo will provide is $25 (cash).
At 9:45 p.m. five winners of lunch with Picardo on Saturday will be announced.
At 10 p.m. Robert Picardo introduces 2 Star Trek: Voyager episodes in the OMNIMAX Theater. (Note: Voyager episodes are not formatted for the OMNIMAX dome. They will play large, but will not wrap around the dome as an OMNIMAX-format film does.) The 10 p.m. film is free. Tickets will be available at the box office starting at 6 p.m. Tickets can be ordered in advance with the purchase of tickets to Star Trek: The Exhibition. Call 314.289.4424 for tickets.

At 11:45 a.m., Saturday, February 4  another drawing for lunch with Picardo will be held in the Main Lobby.
At noon the winners will have lunch with Picardo in the Saint Louis Science Center Board Room.
From 1:30-3:30 p.m. Picardo will autograph fans’ items or a photo Picardo will provide outside Star Trek: The Exhibition. Fee for autographs is $25 (cash).
Contest entrants must be 18 or old and must be present to win. 18 and older only. Only the person whose name is drawn wins the lunch.

The Exhibition brings 45 years of authentic Star Trek artifacts to life with one-of- a-kind costumes, props and filming models from every Star Trek television series and feature film.  For details, check out the special website dedicated to the exhibition.

Special pricing for tonight for non-members is adults, $14
; seniors, $12; 
children age 5 to 12, $10.

Members: Adults,  $7; seniors: $6; children ages 5 to 12, $6.

Parking is free during First Friday.

In addition to touring the exhibition for a special evening rate, visitors can participate in a public telescope viewing outside the Planetarium or unique activities throughout the museum. Top off the evening with a free showing of a Star Trek movie or episode in the OMNIMAX Theater.

Star Trek First Friday: Reduced Admission, Trivia Contest Tonight

Do you know a Klingon from a Romulan? The meaning of  ”DNDN” on the tubes in the USS Enterprise?  Which direction the Enterprise orbited?

If so, you’ll want to be on hand for the Star Trek trivia contest at this month’s Star Trek First Friday event at the St. Louis Science Center in Forest Park.

Get in the mood by coming dressed as your favorite Star Trek character and enjoy special science-fiction themed activities and demonstrations throughout the Science Center.  This special program is held in conjunction with STAR TREK: The Exhibition and will feature a Star Trek trivia contest. 

The Exhibition brings 45 years of authentic Star Trek artifacts to life with one-of- a-kind costumes, props and filming models from every Star Trek television series and feature film.  For details, check out the special website dedicated to the exhibition.
