Webster Grove’s annual Community Days is a four-day celebration of the Fourth of July at Memorial Park at Elm and Glendale.
Except for the carnival, barbeque and the duck races, the event is free.
The action starts with a music, a pet parade, local high school bands and a duck race. The Lions Club Carnival, Midway booths and barbeque are from 5-11 p.m.
On Saturday the carnival, booths and barbeque run from 1 to 11 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. the Miss Webster Groves Pageant will be held at the Webster Groves Aquatic Center with entertainment by the Webster Groves Jazz Quartet.
On Sunday the carnival, boots and barbeque are underway from 1 to 11 p.m. Entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. in Webster Groves Action Park with Kim Bauer and Gary Mitchell and continues with Phil Stendek, a one-man band action from 8 to 11 p.m. Then get set for fireworks. A “fireworks preview” is slated for 9:30 p.m. at Memorial Park.
On Monday a Community Days Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. going from Lockwood and Selma to Memorial Park. The carnival, booths and barbeque are set for 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Jumbo Shrimp, a cover rock band playing Jimmy Buffett-style music, performs from 7 to 11 p.m. in Webster Groves Action Park with a break for the fireworks spectacular at 9:45 p.m.
