Art On The Square Starts Today, Continues Saturday and Sunday In Belleville

The Number One art show in the country returns to Belleville, Ill. just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis this weekend.

Art on the Square, rated the top art show in the country by Art Fair Source Book, features the original works of more than 100 artists from around the world. Add to that a variety of musical and stage performances and local food and drink and you have the makings of one great weekend.

Don’t leave the kids at home. Art on the Square’s extensive and interactive children’s art section will keep them happy as they  create their own take-away art projects.

Folk and Fine Arts Festival On Tap This Weekend At Faust County Park

Journey back to the 1800s this weekend at the Faust Folk and Fine Arts Festival where you’ll see blacksmithing, rope making, pottery firing wood carving and other historical arts and crafts including silhouette cutting, corn husk dolls and rug hooking and quilting.

In addition, the festival hosts a juried fine arts sale featuring premier artists with their original work in oil and acrylics, water color, metal works, sculpture, and wood.

Live music, food vendors and children’s activities are also part of the fun.

Admission–$5 person; four and under, free–includes unlimited free rides on the St. Louis Carousel.

Festival hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The festival is held in Faust County Park in Chesterfield.
