Looking For A True Family Mardi Gras? Try Delta Dental Mardi Gras

Saint Louis Zoo

If you’re looking for a true family Mardi Gras event, head to the The Saint Louis Zoo in Forest Park on Sunday. Kids can get into the spirit by making their own Mardi Gras-style masks with sequins, glitter and feathers and marching in the parade. There will also be beads and face painting. Bob Case with his band Wild Accusations will provide the music. Visitors can enjoy “Land of Smiles” performance at 11:30 p.m. in Anheuser-Busch Theater in The Living World.

Radio Disney AM 1260 performers will be crazy games with visitors for prizes while listening to Radio Disney tunes.

Join the fun by turning a kiddie wagon or stroller into a Mardi Gras parade float. There’ll be three categories of prizes:

  • Best penguin float
  • Best in Mardi Gras style
  • Best float made with recycled materials

Register your float online by today or  from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in The Living World. Registration is free. Click here for parade float rules, regulations and registration form.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Living World and it’s free!
The activities are geared to kids ages 2-10. The parade’s at 3 p.m. and will be led by the Zoo’s costumed character penguin and Delta Dental costumed characters “Tooth Wizard” and “P.A.N.D.A.”
