Ballpark Village across from Busch Stadium will be the site of the St. Louis Brewers Heritage Festival in downtown St. Louis this weekend.
The event celebrates the pre-prohibition era of brewing in St. Louis bringing together big and small brewers from the St. Louis area with unlimited sampling of more than 80 different beers.
There will also be live music and gourmet food from local restaurants, and education will be available for purchase. The event is from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5 p.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets are $30 per session which is a bit of a splurge but maybe not if you’re a real beer aficionado.
You can share in the excitement of the World Series even if you don’t have tickets for the big game.
The St. Louis Baseball Cardinals will hold a pep rally at 3 p.m. today at Ballpark Village prior to the beginning of the final game of the World Series.
Busch Stadium opens at 5 p.m. The first pitch will be thrown out at 7:05 p.m.

Marine Week activities continue in St. Louis today with a wreath-laying ceremony at 11:15 a.m. today at Soldiers Memorial in downtown St. Louis where the United States Marine Buglar and Color Guard will honor fallen service members.
From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. visitors can watch a Military Science and Technology Expo on a simulated firing range on state-of-the-arts weapons and hands-on tutorials with the latest robotic equipment. The Expo is being held at the Gateway Arch.
Static equipment will also be displayed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gateway Arch, Ballpark Village at Busch Stadium and Soldier’s Memorial. The displays include the MV-22 Osprey, AH-1W Cobra, CH-53 Super Stallion, Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV), Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle, High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and M777 Howitzer.
Also at the Arch from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., visitors can view the National Museum of Marine Corps Exhibit depicting the tradition and history of the Marine Corps through combat correspondent art work and history in panels showing the Corps’ timeline from inception in 1775 to the present.
At 2 p.m. visitors can watch a demonstration of land, air and sea combat as Marines simulate an amphibious assault at the Gateway Arch.
Also from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. you can see a display of state-of-the-art ground vehicles, aircraft, weaponry and equipment displays at the Gateway Arch, Ballpark Village at Busch Stadium and Soldiers Memorial.
Marines will give a demonstration of marital arts hand-to-hand combat from 9-11 a.m. at the Arch and demonstrate how they work with their dog team from 10-11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m.
At 7 p.m. the Silent Drill Platoon and the Albany Marine Band hold a sunset parade at the Gateway Arch.
At 8:29 p.m., the Marines will retire the American flag for the evening followed by a USMC bugler sounding taps at 10 p.m. signifying lights out. Both will be done at Soldiers Memorial.

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. the Marine Corps static equipment will be displayed at the Gateway Arch, Ballpark Village at Busch Stadium and Soldiers Memorial.
Also from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., you can view the National Museum of the Marine Corps at the Gateway Arch. There you can experience the tradition and history of the Marine Corps through combat correspondent artwork and history panels depicting the Corps’ timeline form inception in 1775 to the present.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. the Marines will demonstrate the martial arts in hand-to-hand combat exhibitions at the Arch.
From 10-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m., the Marines will do a working dog team demonstration showcasing their canine partners.
Today’s community service projects include a visit to John Cochran Medical Center, headstone realignment at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, park clean-up at Mathews-Dickey Boys and Girls Club;, a visit to Jefferson Barracks Medical Center, Operation Brightside and Community Garden and Learning Center Restoration.
The Marines will retire the flag for the evening at sunset, 8:29 p.m., at Soldiers Memorial with taps at 10 p.m.

At least two free opening day rallies are set for the baseball Cardinals in downtown St. Louis on Thursday.
Y98 and PNC Bank will hold their Opening Day Rally from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kiener Plaza. My Friend Mike will provide live music and there will be games, giveaways and drinks. Former Cardinals Mike Matheny and John Mabry will also be signing autographs from 11 a.m. till noon at the PNC Bank Tent.
Opening Day ticket giveaways will be part of the biggest party of the baseball season at the official St. Louis Cardinals opening day pep rally from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ballpark Village. The event will be at Clark Street and Broadway. Former Cardinals will be on hand for the event and music will be by Trixie Delight, courtesy of Hardee’s, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Team Fredbird will raffle off Cardinals tickets, autographed pictures and merchandise) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
