St. Louis RV Show At America's Center This Weekend

The 37th St. Louis RV Vacation and Travel Show opens at America’s Center in downtown St. Louis on Thursday and runs through Sunday, January 12, 2014. Seniors get a discount on admission on Friday.

The show brings together a huge collection of motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, vans, pop-up campers and truck campers together under one roof for attendees to explore. Vendors will also showcase campgrounds, resorts and travel destinations. RV products and services will be sold.

Special presentations include John Holod and his “Roads To Adventure Films,” River Hills Traveler Magazine  writers presenting information on traveling the Ozark Region, and the hills, forests and streams of Missouri and Dealer Resources Group rep, J.D. Overstreet, with talks about RV products.

 Show hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday; 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $9 for adults; $4 for children 6-12 years and free for children five and under. Seniors (60 years and older) get a discount on Friday only when they will be admitted for $6.

St. Louis Boat & Sports ShowNow through Sunday, there’s plenty for everyone to see and do at the 2013 Progressive Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sports Show at the Edward Jones Dome at America’s Center in downtown St. Louis.

  • Kids can experience FREE fishing at Becky Thatcher Trout Pond
  • Young outdoor enthusiasts can participate inhands-on activities, concessions and seating at Kids’ Cove.

RV Vacation and Travel Show At St. Louis' America's Center This Weekend

RV Camping and Travel ShowEscape the winter doldrums at the RV Vacation & Travel Show at America’s Center this weekend where you can browse what more than 300 vendors are offering.

On display will be motorhomes, sport trailers, fifth wheels, travel trailers and pop-up campers. Also on hand will be representatives of various campgrounds and resorts and companies selling camping and RV products.

Show-goers can also get a look at Route 66, Alaska and the Rocky Mountains through John Holod’s  RV videos. The Route 66 video will be shown Thursday at 12:30, 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. You can see the Alaska video at

1:30, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 1:30 p.m., Sunday.

You can also get tips on how to travel with your dog from dog trainer Shannon Mayfield.

If you are bringing the kids along, don’t forget your camera. “Yogi Bear” and “Boo-Boo”  will be on hand thanks to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ at Pine Lakes, Pittsfield, Ill.

Show hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $9, $4 for children age 6-12 and free for five and under. Seniors age 60 and over get in for $6 on Friday.

St. Louis Bride & Groom Wedding ShowIf you’re planning a wedding for 2013, you’ve got a lot of work ahead of you.

But help is available–in the form of  St. Louis Bride & Groom, a wedding show at America’s Center this weekend. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It’s billed as the biggest wedding event in the Midwest.

There’s more than 80,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 200 wedding exhibits making it easy to check out in one place all facets of what you’ll need to stage the best wedding ever.

Here are some show highlights:

  • A Main Stage Fashion Show with some of the hottest designer bridal fashions on a New York-style runway show. The show features bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos, beautiful mother-of-the-brides gowns and even swimwear perfect for the honeymoon.
  • Show discounts and prizes offering brides up to 25 percent off their wedding with special “Wedding Show” vendor discounts. Prizes from the gift gallery at the show are given away every five minutes.
  • Live entertainment as some of the area’s top wedding musicians perform throughout the day in a special staging area with seating.
  • Transportation displays so you can learn about some of the latest transportation options for brides, including limousines, a carriage, trolley and party buses.
