Whole New Head, a rock band, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Harry S Truman Park, Howdershell Road north of Lynn Haven Lane, Hazelwood.
Also performing in the city’s concert series are Concoction on July 28, Furious George, Aug. 18, and Super Jam, Sept. 22.
Benton Park on St. Louis’s near South Side will concerts featuring at least two bands once a month through October.
One More Round, a Johnny Cash tribute band, and Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers, a blues, jazz and swing band, will play on Saturday, July 7, 2012; One More Round at 5 p.m. and Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers at 7 p.m.
Other concert dates are:
• Aug. 7 featuring Talen Show at 6 p.m. and Lamar Harris & the L with DJ Alexis and Jingo at 7 p.m.
• Sept. 3 featuring Funk Butt Brass Band at 2 p.m. and Gumbohead at 4 p.m.
• Oct. 6 featuring Blues Judge at 1 p.m., Scandaleros at 5 p.m. and Jake’s Leg at 7 p.m.
The Louis Michael Trio will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Westport Plaza, of off West Port Plaza Drive north of Page Avenue, Maryland Heights. The trio plays jazzy versions of 1970s songs.
The concert tent is near the main fountain. The event is part of Westport Plaza’s Blues & Jazz Concert Series with performances that generally occur Wednesdays and Saturdays through the end of September.
Folksinger Langen Neubacher will perform at 10 a.m. July 7, 2012, at the farmers’ market in Tower Grove Park. The park is at South Grand Avenue and Arsenal Street, St. Louis. The concert will be at the West Pool Pavilion.
Other concerts in a series in this series in the park are Rough Shop Trio, July 14, and South City Serenaders, July 21.
Fair St. Louis, St. Louis’ free Fourth of July celebration kicks off Wednesday with two morning runs and the VP parade and continues with three days of entertainment including an air show on the grounds of the Gateway Arch.
An 8 p.m. performance by the music duo Heart and a huge fireworks spectacular cap off the evening.

10 a.m., 135th Annual Veiled Prophet Parade themed “Parade Around the World”

1 p.m., Cultural Stage performances

8 p.m., Heart
9:20 p.m.,US Bank/Enterprise Rent-A-Car Fireworks
Kids Zone, Interactive Zone/Toyota Creation Station will keep the little ones happy throughout the day.
The free entertainment continues Friday evening with Third Eye Blind and Saturday evening with Dierks Bentley.
Two more two weekends of free music at Soldiers Memorial follows at the Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts. Neon Trees performs on July 13, Michael Franti & Spearhead on July 14, The Offspring on July 20, and St. Louis’ own Nelly on July 21!
This year is the 32nd year for the annual Fair Saint Louis celebration.
