Free: Louisiana Purchase To Perform On Saturday, June 30, At Tower Grove Park

Louisiana Purchase,  featuring Jeff Burke and Ryan Spearman, will perform at 10 a.m. June 30, 2012, at the farmers’ market in Tower Grove Park. The park is at South Grand Avenue and Arsenal Street, St. Louis. The concert will be at the West Pool Pavilion.

Other concerts in a series in this series in the park are Langen Neubacher on July 7; Rough Shop Trio, July 14, and South City Serenaders, July 21.

Free: Civil War Musical Program Att Francis Park On Sunday, July 1

Civil War cannons

A musical program featuring Civil War re-enacters and authentic cannons from that war will be 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Francis Park, St. Louis, Eichelberger Street and Donovan Avenue.

The program is the first of six concerts the Compton Heights Concert Band sponsors 7:30 p.m. Sundays in the park. Other concerts highlight the Ironwood Bluegrass Band on July 8, St. Louis Osuwa Taiko, July 15; the Singing Boys of Pennsylvania and the Keystone Girls Choir, July 22; the Sins of the Pioneers, July 29, and Red Lehr and the St. Louis Rivermen, Aug. 5.

Free: Kim Massie And The Solid Senders To Perform On Saturday, June 30, At Lafayette Park

Kim Massie and the Solid Senders will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Lafayette Park, Lafayette and Missouri avenues, St. Louis.

Massie sings blues and gospel, rock, pop, country and rhythm and blues.

The event  is part of a series of concerts in the park that run until Sept. 8. Other concerts are Lafayette Square Blues Band on July 14; Jim Stevens Group, July 28; Big Bamou, Aug. 11; Vince Martin Group, Aug. 25, and Power Play Band, Sept. 8.
