Pokey Lafarge and the South City Three perform at Art After 5 at the St. Louis Art Museum at 7 p.m. tonight.
The event happens at 7 p.m. at Art Hill Plaza. No tickets are required.
The Art Museum’s website says this about the group:
“Pokey Lafarge and the South City Three (Joey Glynn, Adam Hoskins, and Ryan Koenig) of St. Louis have taken the American roots music scene by storm. They plan an infectious, creative mix of early jazz, string ragtime, country blues, and western swing. They continue to grow in popularity and have received praise from audiences and reviewers from throughout the US and Europe. Last year, they performed at the Newport Folk Festival, the Americana Music Festival in Nashville, toured Europe, appeared on BBC TV, and recorded for NPR.”
The Mid-County branch of the St. Louis County Library will show Lust for Life at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday June 26, 2012. The branch is at 7821 Maryland Avenue, Clayton.
The classic movie is a biography of the renowned French artist Vincent Van Gogh. It is part of the branch’s series of movies starring Kirk Douglas.
The branch wants viewers to register in advance. They may do so via the Internet or by calling 314-994-3300.
The Thornhill branch of the St. Louis County Library will show Super 8 at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. The branch is at 12863 Willowyck Drive, west St. Louis County.
The move is about a group of friends who in 1979 witness a train crash and investigate unexplained events that followed in their small town.

The Grand Glaize branch of the St. Louis County Library will show “Mars Needs Moms” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26. The branch is at 1010 Meramec Station Road, Manchester.
The movie is about a young boy who gains a deeper appreciation for his mom after Martians take her away.
The Tesson Ferry branch of the St. Louis County Library will show “The Muppets” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2012. The branch is at 9920 Lin-Ferry Drive, Green Park.
The 2011 movie is about the Muppets reuniting to save their old theater from a greedy oil tycoon.
