Free: Trixie Delight Concert At Chesterfield Amphitheater

Trixie Delight plays favorites from the  70′s, 80′s 90′s, and now at a free concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at Chesterfield’s City Park Amphitheater.

Concessions will be available or you can also bring your own food and beverages (glass bottles not allowed).

The amphitheatre is located at 631 Veteran’s Place Drive in Chesterfield which is in west St. Louis County.

Free: Build & Grow Workshop For Kids At Lowe's This Weekend

Every other weekend Lowe’s gives kids a chance to do a free hands-on project that they can then take home.

This week the kids will be making a Madagascar 3 luxury assault vehicle.

Participants in the free Build & Grow workshops receive a free apron, goggles, a project-themed patch and a certificate of merit for completing the project. The projects are recommended for children in grades 1 through 5.

Saturday clinics start at 10 a.m. and Sunday clinics start at 2 p.m.

Free: Daniel Boone Branch Library To Show Cars 2 On June 25

The Daniel Boone branch of the St. Louis County Library will show Cars 2 at p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012. The branch is at 300 Clarkson Road, Ellisville.

The animated movie is about Star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater who go overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But Mater gets caught up in international espionage.

The Jamestown Bluffs branch library will show Alvin and the Chipmunks on Monday, June 25, 2012. The branch is at 4153 North Highway 67, north St. Louis County.

The movie is about a struggling songwriter who finds success when he comes across a trio of singing chipmunks.

Free: Explore Hispanic Culture At Fiesta In Florissant This Weekend

Experience Hispanic culture this weekend at “Fiesta in Florissant,” presented by Hispanic Festival, Inc. of Greater St. Louis. The event happens noon-10 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Eagan Center,

Among the performers:

  • Folkloric dance groups of children and adults from Mexico, Chile, Spain and other countries.
  • Salsa bands
  • Merenque bands
  • Spanish rock bands
  • Mexican bands

Salsa dance lessons will be available, and arts and craft items from Ecuador and Guatemala will be sold.

A children’s pavilion will feature pinatas, bi-lingual puppet show, visits from Dora and Diego, inflatable rides, games and face painting. Kids can also learn to do the Mexican Hat Dance.

Latin and South American food items will be available for purchase.

Save: $15.99 Plus Tax, Disposal For Oil Change At Bess Automotive

Need an oil change?  You’ll be hard pressed to find a price as cheap as the one at Tom Bess Automotive, 4922 Macklind Ave. A standard five-quart oil change will cost you $15.99 at Bess Automotive . With the $2 disposal fee and $1.51 tax, that’s $19.50 out the door.

You can make an appointment or stop by to see if they have time to do change your oil then. Unfortunately, there are no weekend or evening hours. Tom Bess Automotive is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. It’s at 4922 Macklind Ave. You can call 314-353-9936. There’s no website.

Free Entertainment At Blumenhof Vineyards and Winery This Weekend

You can kick back and enjoy some great free entertainment this weekend at Blumenhof Vineyards and Winery which won the Governor’s Cup for “Best Missouri Wine” at the 2011 Missouri Wine Competition.

At 5 p.m. Friday, it’s Greg Silsby performing blues, folk and bluegrass.

At 1 p.m. Russ Anderson performs folk and rock, and at 6 p.m. the rock band Headrush performs.

On Sunday, it’s Last Missouri Exit performing blues and rock music at 2 p.m.

And, the winery offers Happy Hour from 4-6 p.m. Friday with special drink prices. Wine by the glass is $1.88, Boulevard beer is $1.88 a glass and Augusta Beer is $5.65. Chef’s Choice Appetizer is $4.71.

Blumenhof Winery is at 13699 Highway 94 in Dutzow, a short drive from St. Louis.

Free: Amazing Animal Encounters At World Bird Sanctuary

There’s no time like now to experience “Amazing Animal Encounters.”

Just head to the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis County on Saturday where “Amazing Animal Encounters” are happening at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The World Bird Sanctuary will be closed on Sunday, June 24 for a private event.

Admission and parking are free.  Reservations are not necessary.
World Bird Sanctuary naturalists will give you a fun look at snakes, parrots, birds and mammals in an environmental education program that will show you what you can do to help them survive.

The WBS is located at 125 Bald Eagle Ridge Road in Valley Park, Mo.
