Steak N Shake: Breakfast Tacos A New Twist On Morning Meal

Steak N Shake is serving up a new twist on breakfast–the breakfast taco. The 99-cent tacos come in three flavors–sausage, egg and cheese, potato and cheese and  bean and cheese. Plus they’re served with fresh made salsa. They’re available only during breakfast hours, 6-11 a.m.

The company also recently unveiled the Jalapeño Crunch burger.

And, don’t forget–kids eat free all weekend long. (with an $8 purchase; drinks and shakes excluded; Saturday and Sunday and dine-in only, age 12 and under only).

See 'Big Foot' Tomorrow At Kemp Auto Museum In Chesterfield

“Big Foot” will be one of the stars tomorrow at the Kemp Auto Museum in Chesterfield at its fifth annual Big Truck Day tomorrow, June 10. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The festivities include face painting, live music and the opportunity to climb aboard some really big, loud trucks. Bigfoot # 1 will be there as will be MoDOT trucks, firetrucks, tractors, monster trucks and more.

This family-friendly event is free. Nonperishable food items will be collected for Operation Food Search.

The first 100 kids to attend will receive free snow cones.

Y98 will also be on hand with prizes to give away. Refreshments, including barbeque, will be available for purchase.

The museum, which focuses on the history and art of the European automobile, is located at 16955 Chesterfield Airport Road, 25 minutes west of St. Louis.

Free: Live Music Tonight At Soldiers Memorial

There’s still time to uncork!

St. Louis Uncorked: A Wine and Music Festival continues until 11 p.m. tonight at Soldiers Memorial in downtown St. Louis.

The music is free and you can purchase tickets to sample some of the 150 wines there.  Those include some Missouri and Illinois wines.

Attendees can also purchase food from St. Louis restauranteurs.

KMOX 1120, Fresh 102.5 and Y98 are sponsors of the event.

This year Stella Artois also offers tastings of its beers including four Belgian beer offerings from AB. And, in a new feature this year participants will be able to try samples of hand crafted spirits, distilled and bottled locally by Square One Brewery and Distillery.

Free: Entrance To National Parks On National Get Outdoors Day

Today you can get into 133 national parks across the country free today, Saturday, June 9 as part of National Get Outdoors Day.

The day is one of three this year that allows access to the national parks without paying a cent.

Get Outdoors Day supports First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign against childhood obesity.

During fee-free days such as Get Outdoors Day, the National Park Service waives entrance fees, commercial tour fees and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as camping, tours and fees collected by concessionaires are still charged.

In St. Louis entry to the Gateway Arch is free today but the charge for the tram to the top and for movies shown at the Arch continue to be in effect.

The classic movie is about a planet where intelligent talking apes are the dominant species and humans are the oppressed and enslaved.

The Thornhill branch of the St. Louis County Library will show We Bought a Zoo at noon Wednesday, June 13, 2012. The branch is at 12863 Willowyck Drive, west St. Louis County.

The movie is about a single dad who moves his family into a decrepid zoo and returns it to its former glory.
