The entire family can learn about the wonders of chess at Family Day at the World Chess Hall of Fame in St. Louis on Saturday, June 2.
Docents will lead a visit to the Hall’s galleries for a special kids-eye-view of this cultural institution’s unique exhibitions. The finale is a hands-on craft project tied to the exhibitions. The activities are designed for children ages 5-12.

From now through Labor Day, you can experience “Amazing Animal Encounters” at the World Bird Sanctuary in the St. Louis area.
The programs are held at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and at 1:30 p.m. on Sundays.
Admission and parking are free. Reservations are not necessary.
World Bird Sanctuary naturalists will give you a fun look at snakes, parrots, birds and mammals in an environmental education program that will show you what you can do to help them survive.
