Free: Photography Expo At Creve Coeur Camera Friday, Saturday

Creve Couer Camera is sponsoring a photography expo at its Creve Coeur store, 11615 Olive Blvd., Friday and Saturday.

The expo will feature a host of seminars covering a wide range of topics including night photography, nature photography, studio lighting, sports photography and macro photography. Sessions runs from 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday. Check the schedule for details.

You can also meet the manufacturers’ reps to ask questions about specific cameras.

Plus, if you buy a camera costing $199 or more during the expo, you can choose an 8 or (16 gigabyte with the purchase of a DSLR), free financing for a year with approved credit (see store for details) or 600 free 4 x 6 prints (100 4 x 6 prints for six months per month. This offer is good at all nine Creve Coeur Camera locations.

Free: Mid-County Branch Library To Show The Iron Giant On Tuesday, May 15

The Mid-County branch of the St. Louis County Library will show The Iron Giant at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, as part of a family film night. The branch is at 7821 Maryland Avenue, Clayton.

The animated movie is about a boy who makes friends with an alien giant robot that a government agent wants to destroy.

The branch wants viewers to register in advance. They may do so via the Internet or by calling 314-994-3300.
