More than 15 billion wine corks end up in the landfill each year.
That’s according to Whole Foods which says you can recycle your corks by dropping them off in their wine department to help save the cork forests.
The corks will be recycled into building materials.

“The Heat Is On ” is the theme for Thursday’s performance.
The park is along the Missouri River in downtown St. Charles.
The band invites listeners to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

The St. Louis All Star Revue featuring musicians and singers that have been on the St. Louis music scene for more than 25 years will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at St. Ferdinand Park by the Lake in Florissant. Among the various styles people will hear are Motown, disco, swing and rock.
Among the performers are Ralph Butler from The Ralph Butler Band, Kittie Moeller from Fanfare, Charlie B from Wild Cool and Swingin’, Charlie B Band, Jim Manley on trumpet from Fantasy and Wild Cool and Swingin’, Steve Leslie from the Steve Leslie Band and the Motown Sounds of Velvet.
