Marquise Fox performs Wednesday at the Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Here’s what the Garden’s website has to say about Fox:
At only 20 years old, Marquise Knox is a blues prodigy. Knox’s debut album, Manchild (recorded when he was just 16 years old) was nominated for a Blues Music Award for Best New Artist’s Debut. His music is rooted in influences from blues giants B.B. King, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Muddy Waters, and Johnny Lee Hooker.
The performance is at 7:30 p.m. with last entry at 9 p.m. Admission to the Garden on Wednesday is free after 5 p.m.
The Whitaker Music Festival, now in its 18th year, features weekly concerts June 1-Aug. 3 at the Botanical Garden.
The festival is funded by the Whitaker Foundation, which supports St. Louis arts and parks promoting common heritage and celebrating diversity.
